Geeze, time sure has been flying by. I was shocked today when I realized I hadn't posted since Thursday. I totally missed Favorite Things Friday too. Sorry guys! I've been busy purging the garage and organizing my thrift store/Etsy shop stash.
You know how it is when you want to do a room makeover, but you have to do a bazillion other things first, before you can make it happen? That's what I'm in the process of doing now. I want to turn out spare bedroom into a guest room, but before I can do that, I have to find a place for everything that's being kept in there, including two cats and their litter boxes.
Obviously the garage with the unpacked boxes from when we moved here, in May 2007, was the obvious place to start. I had to get rid of things in there so that I could move MORE STUFF in. Ack!
Anyway, I wanted to share a makeover I did awhile back. I took this country-ish looking magazine rack and gave it a little update.

I sold this on Etsy right after I listed it and the buyer recently left this awesome feedback.
"Everyone loves this in our bathroom -- it's a truly unique piece :) "
The paint color I chose is a Martha Stewart color called Driftwood Gray. I've used this color on several other pieces. It's a beautiful color and excellent for giving a piece a beachy look.

Gorgeous. Great inspiration for a little tiny wooden wall cabinet I've got waiting at home for a coat of paint. Love it on that little bird feeder too.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great color, Kristi! One of my very favorite paint colors is a Martha Stewart paint ~ Milk Pail, which I used in my master bedroom. I cracked it open for an actual project just recently when I did a plain wood tray. I just love the gray blue color. I think yours will be going on my list!
ReplyDeleteDriftwood Grey just might be the world's most perfect color! Love it all! jules
