I've been finding tons of stuff at GW lately. Mostly small things that I'll upcycle and sell. Nothing major. Except for what I found last week.
These babies were $6 each!!
But like they say, every silver lining has a cloud. That's what they say right? No? Well, you know what I mean. I have a problem. It's actually a good problem to have, I guess. See, I want these table to live with ME. I don't want to fix them up and then sell them off. The problem with me keeping them is that they'd have to be painted either black or cream. I may get away with red, but I really just want to be adventurous with these. I'm really looking at these photos for inspiration:
I love, love , love that polka-dot fabric. I do have a wingback-ish chair that I found on the side of the road that I could reupholster in that fabric or a combo of that and the other one. If I did that, it would look so awesome with those tables painted aqua with maybe a little red peeking through.
Like I said before, though, none of that fits with my living room. I'm pretty sure I could change some of the accessories and take the red chair out of my studio and make the whole thing work since we do have neutral walls. I feel like I love the vision of the chair and tables in my head so much that I would MAKE it work. Ya know?
What do you think?
Those will look awesome no matter what you paint them!
ReplyDeleteAqua!
ReplyDeleteI think they would look awesome in aqua!
this is so weird... i am signed up as a follower and my picture is over in your followers, but it is not showing in my reader. i am going to try again... i don't get it!!! the tables are so cute! and they would look pretty in that nantucket fog. i think just about anything looks prettier in nantucket fog!
ReplyDeleteYou've got style, girl-- you can make it work!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about wanting to be adventerous but it not matching. I want to paint everything a bold bright color but my house would end up looking like a big box of crayons. I have slowly adding in some color after making everything neutral.

I think that you should drive them to my house.
ReplyDeleteProblem solved.
That was easy.
Oh, so fun! I can't wait to see what you do with them. I too am loving the aqua and red combo these days!!
ReplyDeleteGreat GW score! I love the turquoise color!
