What in the heck is this??? When I bought it (from GW), I thought it was an old juice glass rack, but i googled and googled and I don't think there is any such thing. If there is, it sure doesn't look like this. Lately, I'm thinking maybe it's a votive holder. I have no idea. Anyone care to take a guess?
Is it an egg holder? It's hard to tell fromthe picture how large the holes are but that would be my guess!
ReplyDeleteCupcake holder?
ReplyDeleteSpice rack?
ReplyDeleteSpice rack is a good guess. My grandfather used to have something similar for decorative shot glasses.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like both the cupcake and the spice rack idea!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cupcake holder!! i have 3!!
ReplyDeletefrom first glance, I instantly tought.. cup cake holder.. but idk how big or small the holes are.. but that was my instant thought. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought cupcake holder first too!
ReplyDeleteCupcake holder for sure!
ReplyDeleteOk, wow!! I think maybe it IS a cupcake stand. ha ha
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions, y'all! Hope you all are having a great weekend!
My husband has actually agreed to go thrifting with me today and I'm way excited!

I had one exactly like that a long time a go and it had votive holders in it, it was a candle holder. Looks the same to me!! I used mine for parties and put cupcake toppings on it once, once I used it as a centerpiece....what are you gonna do with it?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it's an egg holder. I just bought one today at a garage sale. The only reason I knew what it was was because it had a tag on it telling me! Super funl.
ReplyDeleteYou got me seriously I have no clue...but I would find some good use for them:)
ReplyDeleteMy aunt use to have one of these and it was an apple holder : )

It is a apple, orange fruit holder - my friend has one
ReplyDeleteI have to say I had a similar item and put apples or pears in it. Now they do sell something like it for cupcakes.
ReplyDeletelooks like you got a lot of great guesses already...
ReplyDeletei am jumping on the cupcake holder guess. there are 12 slots...which equal a dozen cupcakes. but my concern...will the cupcakes fall through?

I'm pretty sure the top picture is a cupcake holder or spice rack...depending on the hole sizes....as for the lowere pictures...well, they are just...AWESOME!! love them. My GoodWill SUX here!
ReplyDeleteI think its a cupcake holder (if the holes are small enough) or I have one that is made for condiments to hold little bowls.
ReplyDeleteIt's a votive holder. It holds the glass oyster votives. You can buy the stand at Joann's. They also sell the glass oyster votives there too.
ReplyDeletei got one just like that from a rummage sale that i thought it would be perfect as a cupcake holder but the holes were too big! i use mine as an earring holder now!
ReplyDeleteThe wrought iron item is an apple stacker from the 90's. They were very popular for us 'country boo-tique girls. :) My grandmother used the wooden pedestal thingy's to hold her wooden fruit. :)
ReplyDeleteThe pedestal bowls are called compotes :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a cupcake holder but I use it for apples and tomatoes. It keeps the tomatoes from rotting on the bottoms!
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing holders like that with apples, especially wooden apples. I think some of the other guesses could be accomplished with some modifications. I am on the lookout for a wooden compote, but I will paint it and chippy it up.
