OK, now I need your opinions on something. I bought these a couple of weeks ago, from a local thrift shop.
They appear to be some sort of finial. I think they were probably used on a fence or something like that, outdoors. These things are big. I think they weight about 5lbs each and they're about 8.5" tall and the ball on top is about 18" around. I'm planning to sell them in my shop, but I'm torn on whether or not I should paint them. I'm thinking I could sell them in pairs as bookends or separately as decorative items or even doorstops.
What do you guys think? Should I paint them or leave them alone? If I leave them alone, should I clean them up at least? Should I sell them in sets or should I sell them individually?
Any ideas, including colors I should paint them, are welcome.
