BOO!

Until the past couple of years, Halloween was my absolute favorite holiday to decorate for.  Then I was bitten my the Christmas bug and now that's my new favorite.

I still love decorating for Halloween though!  I had a few ideas tumbling around in my head and was planning to get to them eventually, but then I read Sandra's (from Sawdust and Paper Scraps) post today that she'll be hosting a Halloween related linky party tomorrow.  That's all it took for me to spend the WHOLE day working on Halloween projects.

My first project is a spin-off from the project I blogged about yesterday.

I used paper scraps that I had leftover from this project and the hoops for 59 cents each, bringing the total for this project to around $1.75.  Can't beat that!

***  Go here for the tutorial.

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow and link up to Foodie Friday.  This week's theme is a potluck so you can link up whatever kind of recipe you want.

  13. How sweet! I've always loved the look of fabric in hoops, so many fabric designs are too pretty and deserve to be out and on display all the time. What a fun idea to turn them into BOO letters! I was going to make a set this year out of wood blocks but now I think I need to switch my plans. Did you use fusible webbing to attach the letters? Would love you to join me at A Crafty Soiree, every Thursday.

  16. A resurgence in decorating with hoops? I love this, Kristi! I actually found a project I did almost 20 years ago with a small size hoop, in with my Halloween decorations. I should post it just for fun ~ although, really someone could do the project today, too, for a decoration.
