I went thrifting Mon & Tues and I have to say that it was a very good week for me.
On Monday, I went to a thrift store that's near campus. I found this awesome lamp. Check out the switch!
While I like her the way she is, she doesn't "go" with my house so I'll probably be painting her black and tricking out whatever lampshade I find.
I also went to Goodwill and finally found a Scrabble game! I've been looking for one for weeks in about 5 different stores. Did you know that Scrabble only comes with two M's? I need more than that!
Oh, I got this too.
Yesterday, I made a last-minute decision to go by Goodwill after class and Holy Spicoli, I hit the jack-pot. I say this because I found something that I've been looking for, for weeks. I make several passes at Goodwill and have gotten my best finds on the 2nd and 3rd passes. Stuff I just somehow missed the first time around. Here's what I found on this trip:
Looks like somebody else made their own curtain rods too. These were $1 each and that's worth it to me just for the finials.
Be still my beating heart. What's that, could it be, is it... a cheese dome??? I've been looking for one of these since Allison @ House of Hepworths did her Cheese Dome Turned Cloche and now I have one.. for $2.25!
Pass Three:What do we have here? Brackets that go to the curtain rods I picked up on pass one. Score!!
I got these last week; just didn't post on thrifting then. I got both for $9. They've still got the Home Goods stickers on them. Looks like I saved about $30. These are going up in our loft/workspace that I'm doing a reveal on next week.
