Trinket Dresser Makeover

I like to drag Han with me to Goodwill.  Sometimes she grumbles and moans.  Sometimes she actually looks around, usually at the clothes.  Sometimes, though, she helps me find stuff to makeover and sell.  Like this teeny dresser-jewelry-box-thingy.

It was not only only painted in gold, there was gold glitter mixed in with the paint.  ICK!

I gave it a few coats of light gray paint and then distressed it just a little.  PERFECT!  It sold within 5 minutes of me listing it.  I LOVE it when that happens.  Oh yeah, Han asked for a finder's fee.  PERFECT.

  12. LOVE your work! You are sooooo talented! When you are distressing a piece, are you using glaze or are you using sandpaper just removing the paint from the edges? It looks like both, depending on the color underneath...I see black and brown?

    Thanks! Keep the creativity flowing!
