Fleur de Makeover

This is gonna be a super fast post because I'm starting the bulk of my master bedroom makeover today.  I really want to push to get this room done by the end of next week.

Anyway, I snapped this little gem up a few weeks ago while I was out thrifting.  There really wasn't anything wrong with it except that it was just a little too dark for me.

I painted it white and then went over it with some glaze and this is what it looked like after.

I LOVED it and I really, really wanted to keep it for my new bedroom, so I priced it a little higher than I normally would have, hoping that nobody would want it and then I'd get to keep it.  Yeah, that didn't work.  Someone bought it not even a week after I listed it.  I had to bid farewell to it yesterday.

Guess what's on my thrifting wish list now???

  2. So Funny, but I have that very same Fleur De Lis in my house, and when I got it, it was brilliant white, and I have since painted it a beautiful Glossy Red ;0)
