A New Blogging Adventure

If you've been following for awhile, you know that I have a tween daughter, Hannah (I refer to her as Han on here).  I often take her to GW with me and she always heads straight for the clothes.  She's a smart little chicky and knows that she can get so much more for her money there than at the mall.  I've asked before if she was ok with getting clothes from GW, and she replied, "Nobody can tell where it came from."  So true!!  I was so proud of her at that moment because I wouldn't have been caught dead in a GW at that age.

After mulling it over for a few weeks, I decided that we could turn this into a little project that might be something fun for us to do together. And so she and I have launched a thrifty fashion blog, geared towards girls in her age bracket, that will show them that you can get your clothes at thrift stores and still look good.  I understand that it's almost impossible for a teen to not be into name brands, but they don't have to drain their parents' or their own bank accounts to to wear them.  Our blog is called Thrifty Threads.  Each week, we will choose an outfit either from online catalogs and go thrifting to try and mimic it on the cheap.

I know that my blog is a craft blog and that there may not be too much interest in the fashion blog, but if this is something you or your own tween/teens might be interested in, I'd be pleased as punch if you'd pop over and give us some support.
