'Tis the Season to Jump the Gun

I love, love, love the time of year that is approaching; the succession of holidays that make up the last quarter of the year.  Halloween & Christmas to be exact.  I know it's just barely the middle of August, but I can't wait.  Shoot, the only reason I'm glad school is starting back is because as soon as it does, all of the back to school displays will be replaced with Halloween goodies!

I've just started seeing a small trickle of Halloween inspired projects around here in blog-land and it has really gotten me in the mood (Sorry, Charles, not that kind of mood).  That and the fact that Hobby Lobby has all of their Fall & Halloween and some of their Christmas stuff out already, has gotten me singing Christmas carols and the theme song from "Nightmare Before Christmas" in my head.

So yesterday, I rolled into the HL and scooped up some Halloween and Christmas scrapbook papers (they're on sale this week..  reg size sheets are 6 for $1 and the 12x12 sheets are 4 for $1) to make these:

Aren't they cute!!    These are so much fun to make.  To me, they're just as much fun to make as paper snowflakes are.  The combination possibilities are endless and I'm afraid I may end up with hundreds of these.  I'm planning to make some kind of door hanging out of these.  The space between our door and the storm door is too small for a regular wreath so I have to come up with something really thin.  I saw two projects last week in some of the linky parties that inspired me.  I have looked and looked and I can't find them, but I'll keep looking so I can give credit when my project is finished.

What holiday projects have you been dreaming up or working on?  Share in the comments if you'd like.
