We're having a party this Sat and I'm looking for some good app recipes. Sweet or Salty... anything goes. If you have any recipes that you've tried or that you've bookmarked to try, would you mind sharing them with me in the comments? If I get some suggestions and I use them, I'll feature them next week after the party and do mini reviews on them and will also link back to your blog.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I have a spinach and artichoke dip thats pretty incredible. If you want it I can email it to you! Let me know!
ReplyDeleteOtherwise..
My mom makes this dip for every party and its delish.
first layer is cream cheese mixed with taco seasoning. spread out on a place.
Topped with salsa.. then cheese...
Eat it with chips and its magic in your mouth! MMMM!
I have an excellent cheeseball. But is that just for Christmas? Hmm.
ReplyDeleteIf you like radishes, you can get some crusty baguettes, slice them, spread butter on top, and place a piece or 2 of sliced radish on top.
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to be grilling, you can slice up some store-bought polenta and grill those until they're crispy and top them with sour cream and a bit of chives or whatever herbs you like.
And lastly, you can make hummus by taking a can of chickpeas, tahini (a sesame paste - but you can use plain yogurt if you can't find any), a clove of garlic, salt, pepper, juice of a lemon, a teaspoon or two of water, and processing it. Then add olive oil through the tube while it's whirring, until you get the right consistency. If you happen to have roasted bell peppers, you can add those too.

ReplyDeleteVisiting from The Girl Creative. I like the idea of a recipe swap. Just had a bridal shower party and I made an easy taco dip recipe. Serve with chips. I made it without the hamburger meat and was delicious served cold. So yummy!
ReplyDeleteBrown a lb of hamburger or ground turkey with onions and greenpepper.
In crock pot, combine 8oz of cream cheese, 8oz of sour cream, can of diced tomatoes (I like the ones with jalapeno), and a packet of taco seasoning until completely mixed and heated.
Once it is all mixed add the hamburger mixture!

If you like goat cheese...
ReplyDeletePlace goat cheese in an oven-safe, ceramic dish. Chop tomatoes, basil, and garlic and pour on top. Drizzle with olive oil and bake @350 for 30 minutes. Super easy and great on crackers or toasted bread.
P.S. Great blog!
