to answer your question that you left via blog comment, it was really easy to sand down the table top, but a word of caution - because my table wasn't made of real wood, if i sanded down too far, it made this kinda grainy pattern appear, so i just primed that particular spot really nice and thick. i would definitely recommend you go light on the sanding until you can gauge what it'll do to your table top. good luck! hope you post pictures, i'll be stopping back in to see!
