Sea Glass

If you've been following me the past few weeks, you know that I've been sharing some of my favorite makeover paint colors.  You can find my past color posts here.

This week, I'm sharing another Martha color.  This one is called Sea Glass and it's another of those colors that's perfect for all things beachy.

It's one of the colors that comes in a premixed sample.  I'd say if you're going to use this to paint small stuff, like me, you should go ahead and get a sample mixed.  I say this because the premixed samples have the a brush attached to the inside of the lid and it's kind of a pain to use.

With that being said, I'd like to share with you, the pieces I've painted with this wonderful color.

  6. Love love love everything you create! On the MS colors, what type of paintbrush do you use? I agree, I tried the brush included with the sample and it was a disaster!

  16. I have always been a 'earth tones' gal but in the past year I've painted my living/dining room in tones of this blue with rust, chocolate and burgundy and am now working on my front porch using a turquoise color! It really IS a refreshing color and I love all of your pieces! Especially that shelf!

  20. I saw your link over at Funky Junk's link party and noticed the title "sea glass" and was hoping it was Martha's paint color. I have that pain-in-the-butt smaple bottle in the same shade. I haven't used it yet cuz I've been a little nervouse about the color. But after seeing your painted pieces, I'm DEFINITELY feeling the itch to paint something now. Your pieces are so pretty and I love the distressing!

  24. Can someone tell me if the paint is "food safe" I see all these nice bowls, etc. and was wondering if I use the gorgeous paint to cover my thrift finds, if I am able to use food in them? Or are they just for decorative purposes? Any advice or help would be great.

  25. Too bad I found this color too late. It's been discontinued.

And no, I would not use it next to food. Put a plate on the stands or whatever you intend on putting food on. :-)

  26. I just had my boyfriend take apart a candlabra like yours to use the spindles for a tiered stand. I wish I knew it could have looked that nice! I'd love to see a room with several of these as accents; I bet it'd look nice!
